Drift Master Grand Prix: Round 4
By Cody Whisinnand
As 50,000 motorheads descend upon the small town of Rakkestad, Norway it can only mean one thing, Gatebil. Being one of the largest motorsport festivals of the year, it is sure to never disappoint.
Joined by fellow Monster teammates, Luke Woodham, Sultan Al-Wassimi and Tessa Whittock, Baggsy was ready for three days of nonstop rubber-burning action. Complete with track parties, a trade village, and plenty of activities it was the perfect way to get ready for Round 4 of DMGP.
After the light-hearted fun vibe of Gatebil, Baggsy was heading to Bikernieku Circuit in the heart of a wild forest in the Latvian capital, Riga. After a full day of practice on the track, Baggsy was able to land in 14th place for the qualifying round.
For the Top 32 battle, Baggsy found himself against Johannes Hountondji. With a clean first round, the roles reversed putting Baggsy in the chase position. Not letting Johannes take any advantage, Baggsy was pushing hard. Unfortunately, during the second round he made contact with the wall, ending the weekend early.
